Bought a building in Northern Liberties, moved out of Cherry Street Pier, rebranded, expanded the gift shop. The expanded footprint means we also now have space to run workshops. And, it meant going from a one man show to a team.

After a year in our studio space, we were asked to be a part of the first artist cohort at Cherry Street Pier. In addition to offering custom laser cutting services, we added a small gift shop in this space.

After reevaluating priorities and goals, it was time to jump back in and to change the scenery. After working for years out of NextFab, we invested in our own equipment and moved into a studio space in Kensington.

Three and half years of grinding as a pioneer in the creative space takes its toll. Sharif had big ideas and big goals, but needed to create a clearer path to achieve them.

After reading that a makerspace would be opening in Philly, Sharif became the first member. Using his creative background, combined with the tech at NextFab, he created his first products and began selling online and shipping goods around the world. He got a lot of buzz and coverage from Philly to the Netherlands and used that to expand products and start taking on custom laser cutting work.
